Eric recently shared a little more about the new album.  "I would say that so far this is a much more upbeat and dance-oriented album than either Monkey Business or The Kid in the Mirror.  The band is really cookin', and we're covering some genres that we haven't before, including surf rock, reggae, disco and old-time country.  We've also added two new tracks, both with words by Kenn Nesbitt, called "Snow Day" and "Steve the Superhero".  "Snow Day" is reminiscent of They Might Be Giants, telling an entire story in only forty seconds, and "Steve the Superhero" has a cool 60's rock, Batman kind of vibe."  Eric expects the CD to be ready in time for next summer's touring.  Check back for more updates, and sign up for Eric's fan club (top left of this page) to receive advance previews and discount offers.

Dragonfly TV uses Eric's song.  This is sort of old news, but the sync license just arrived and so it has only now been learned that the PBS show Dragonfly TV used Eric's song "The World's Fastest Bicycle" on their engineering episode, which originally aired this past January. So Eric can now officially be described: "as heard on PBS"!

Eric would like to apologize to anyone who was expecting to see him at the Bellevue Arts Museum "BAM Family Day" event on November 6th.  He came down with a nasty cold last week and had completely lost his voice, which is only now starting to come back.  As it turns out, there was a rockslide on the I-90 that morning and the road was completely closed off, so he may not have been able to make it anyway.  But still, he hated to miss the event, and hopes to be able to perform for the kids of Bellevue again really soon.

With a lighter performing schedule over the winter months, Eric and the Invisible Band will begin recording songs for their next album, which they hope to have available in time for next summer.  Eric is also planning to produce a lullaby/mellow song collection to release some time next year, which will include new mixes of existing songs like "Rest Easy Now" and "The Tale of the Sun and the Moon", as well as some new original songs and versions of lullaby standards like "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".

Video footage has been shot for "Crazy Over Vegetables" and "In the Box".  The editing is nearly done for "Crazy Over Vegetables" and at least a clip of that, if not the whole video, should be uploaded here soon.
